Frequently Asked Questions

Midwest Telecom Authorized Agent Program

What is the difference between your Affiliate and Partner program?

The main difference is how it pays out.  Our most popular program is our Shared Revenue Partner Program.  Most ISPs don't use this method, but we found that its the most mutually beneficial.  We are looking for quality customers, you are looking for a quality service to promote and be compensated for your efforts.  Works both ways.

Our affiliate program is a one-time payout.  Some agents are just more comfortable being paid one lump commission.  So we offer this method.  But since our customers stay an average of a year, if not for years, it makes more "Cents" to join our revenue partner program.

How Much Does Your Program Pay?

We pay for all referrals that you subscribe to Midwest Internet under your unique ID.  This program has 2 revenue generating opportunities:

Offline/Physical Location Agents

Affiliates - 100% MATCHED commission of Service sold. (Rounded to nearest $1)

Example:  If you sell a Premium Service plan for $19.95,  Your payout is $20!  This starts from the first customer on, and account must remain active into the 2nd billing cycle. (this is around 45-60 days)

Authorized Agents / Shared Revenue Program - OUR BEST OFFER

25%  MONTHLY Revenue share of AGENTS you refer to us!

If you sell a premium service plan for $19.95,  your payout is $5 every month for that customer!  Sell a Standard Plan for $15.95, and your payout is $4 every month the customer is with Midwest Telecom!  Under this program, when you signup your first customer, this is a "placeholder" in our program.  Instead of making a payout.  We provide you with a premium level demo account to use when promoting the service, and for other unrelated light use, such as modem testing and what-not.  For the 2nd Customer on, you receive a payout.

Payouts begin once the customer has maintained their account in good standing and their account enters our default billing cycle.  This usually happens within 45-60 days, depending on any specials, promos, or other offers.

Example:  You setup a customer on January 6th.  They are charged $17.95 for their first month, and a setup fee of $5.00.  This customer will be verified within 24 hours, and their billing cycle is set to start February 23rd.  This means, your payouts start on this customer on February 23rd, and will continue as long as you are an active agent, and the customer keeps the service.

Your Shared Revenue Partner Program is unlike ANY other.  The payout is higher than everyone else I've seen, How do you do this, and why?

We do it, because we are firm believers in "You get what you pay for".  We want you to refer good customers to us, that will stay with us for years, and aren't just looking to hang out a month while they are waiting for something else to come around.  We have a great service and we have great carriers.  All we need is great referrals to our service.

We pay for your time.  The average agent can easily refer 50 people within a few months.  That can easily become thousands per year added to your income.  ALSO - when a customer has an issue that we can figure out via telephone, we refer the back to you, which can increase your sales in-house!

What do I have to do to Join Your Program?
All you have to do is promote our national retail ISP, Midwest Internet Services.  If you are outside of Midwest Region, we also have our national Brand, WorldNET.  We will supply you with flyers, or business cards as needed.  All promotional material will have your business special agent ID imprinted.

For more information on our partner program, please contact John at 314-200-4200 Ext. 7.

What do I need to do to qualify for your program?

To qualify to be an agent for Midwest Internet Services, you must be in one of the following businesses:

Currently an Agent or Reseller of Wireless, Internet, Cellular Or Satellite Services

Computer Shop - Retail

Computer Shop - Service & Repair

*To limit competition between our agents, and maximize income potential for each agent, we will not exceed 2 agents per town.  In most cases, we choose one reputable company in each town.

What paperwork is involved in joining your program?

The least amount you've probably ever had to with a program like ours!  Our system depends on the type of agent.  We look for computer repair or retail outlets, where we have a local point of placement or POP (POP = Dialup Number).  Once we check this, All we need is the Agent Application filled out, and we will setup your access.

Important notes:

1.  To fully take advantage of our program, you should at least have a fax machine at your location, otherwise you can only accept customers willing to pay via Credit Card.

2.  We do not require any tax information.  Instead, we will send payment to you in your business name only.  If you do not have a registered business name, and do business in your own name, we will need you to fill our an extended version of our application and fax back.  This extended version includes our version of the 1099MISC that we track for tax purposes only.

Why did your account manager ask if I have a FAX Machine?

We require that if you want to accept customers that pay with checks, you need to have a fax machine.  Once your customer has written out a check to Midwest Telecom, It must be faxed into our office on the bottom of our Internet Service Activation Form, then you go online, and enter the customer in as a ACH Paying customer, and include their routing & account number, and state ID info.

If you do not have a fax machine that can make outbound faxes, you can still sell our service, but you will only be able to accept credit cards as a payment option to get  your referral credits.
