History Of Midwest
Telecom:
Parent Company of Midwest
Internet
Midwest Telecom began in the service industry, primarily in
computer repair. The company was founded in 2002 by
founders John Allen and Christopher Demere as JDT Computers.
Though primarily offering computer repair, Some of our
original customers were primarily bringing us computers that
were loaded with spyware, junk, and used internet providers
that had taken up massive amounts of space on their hard
drive with their evasive software.
By 2004, we had noticed a trend with our customers;
they all hated their current internet service provider.
Service wasn't the focus anymore in the ISP Industry and it
was all about control and pushing advertising. We wanted to
find an honest internet service provider that did
not use software to manipulate their computers,
track customer activity, and allowed hassle-free
cancellations. Since we would not find a provider that
offered all these practices, we Started ACI Internet.
Under the brands WorldNet and DialStream, ACI Began by reselling service from a large local internet provider,
who we felt would provide this service. We had a large
following over the next several years, and our customers trusted us to refer them
reliable and superior service, and we added the value of
local support. Though we found the
provider somewhat reliable, the superiority was not there.
So, by the end of 2007, Midwest Internet.
By utilizing several large national backbone carriers such as Level
3 Communications, CenturyLink and AT&T, we were able to provide fast, and reliable
service, that was superior to the competition.
As our customer base grew, so did the demand for more
coverage, and avaliable services services. By the end of 2007, the industry was more
competitive, and more regional providers were closing and
merging through acquisition. We did the same, and with
a change in our company lineup, and the addition of several
new carrier partners, ACI Moved away from the Computer business
completely and formed Midwest Internet.
By utilizing nationwide Tier
1-4 internet access carriers, and a strong network carrier
to maintain the network, Midwest Internet has access to largest dialup
and mobile broadband footprints in the United States,
utilizing several major carriers for redundancy and
expansive coverage.
Our Commitment to Superior
Service
With the industry rapidly
moving towards broadband internet, VOIP based services, and
more mobile internet services, in 2007 we changed our
company name to Midwest Telecom. Midwest Telecom now
provides customized virtual
and mobile telephone solutions, Rural and Metropolitan
mobile broadband wireless broadband solutions as well as maintaining our original
focus of reliable dial-up internet services. Since day
one, our customer service has been, and will always be 100%
American. We want our customers to be heard,
understood, and taken care of fast , friendly and efficient
service. Unlike our competitors, if customer service
cannot handle their issue, we welcome our customers to call
the company headquarters, and speak with a manager, or the
owner directly.
Midwest Internet hopes to
continue to grow and service its existing and new customer
base for years to come. By keeping up with current
technology, and providing the latest releases of Slipstream
SP, and other valuable services, we continue to be one of
the Midwest's greatest internet service providers.
